Policy Briefs
The CPSU regularly produces Policy Briefs prior to Commonwealth Ministerial Meetings. They are normally posted free to governments and interested NGOs and journalists. Numbers 1 and 2 of the series are only available in hard copy. The full list is:

2004

In May 2004, The CPSU participated, with the Royal Commonwealth Society and the Commonwealth Youth Exchange Council, in a consultation on youth engagement with Commonwealth and other organisations. The following brief report is available from that meeting

In March 2004, the CPSU circulated a note to the Executive Committee of the governors of the Commonwealth Secretariat regarding a proposed review of the frequency of sectoral Commonwealth Ministerial meetings


2003

In November 2003, the CPSU published 'Nigeria's Commonwealth Summit: A Briefing on the Issues Before the Leaders at Abuja in December 2003'.

In March 2003, the second Diversity Matters conference was organised by the CPSU in association with the Australian Multicultural Foundation and the Commonwealth Foundation in London. The first Diversity Matters conference was organised in October 2001, as part of the Brisbane CHOGM, by the Australian Multicultural Foundation and the Commonwealth Institute. Click here for a copy of the 'Forum Report: First Diversity Matters - a commonwealth forum on cultural diversity' .

2002

In March 2002, the Election Observation Project published the 'Good Practice Guidelines for Commonwealth Observers' and the 'Good Practice Guidelines for Commonwealth Domestic Observer Groups'.

In the CPSU-SAIIA publication 'Australia's Commonwealth Summit: A briefing on issues before the leaders at Coolum in March 2002', Amanda Shah examines the nature of the relationship between the government and non-governmental Commonwealth in the essay 'Relations between the Official and Unofficial Commonwealth'.
