The Africa Regional Expert Meeting, organised by the Indigenous Rights in the Commonwealth Project, held at the Indigenous Peoples of Africa Coordinating Committee (IPACC), Cape Town, South Africa, October 16th-18th, 2002, was the thrid of four consultative meetings to be held in different regions of the Commonwealth during the three year project. The expert regional meeting brought together Indigenous peoples and organisations, and experts in Indigenous issues to discuss Indigenous rights in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, and Cameroon.
