The Commonwealth Clubs project would like your views about your school and how the Commonwealth is taught. We would also like to know if there are any ways of helping schools get more material and information to teach the Commonwealth to pupils. The questionnaire can be downloaded from these links:

Introduction
The CPSU is working on a two year project to stimulate extra-curricular Commonwealth Clubs in secondary schools in England. It is being funded by the Department for Education and Skills.
The Unit aims to assist in setting up clubs in the schools across England, and to research different models which may emerge. It has launched a questionnaire survey and established a national steering committee. It is thought that schools may see these clubs as a valuable tool towards promoting international, multicultural and development education. Schools will also be able to link with other Schools across the Commonwealth.
The clubs will increase knowledge of the Commonwealth, and take part in celebrations of Commonwealth Day -- the second Monday in March every year. England will be following in the footsteps of Nigeria, which has 200 Commonwealth Clubs in secondary schools. The CPSU hopes that other Commonwealth countries may wish to join this initiative in due course.
The project held a launch event at the Royal Commonwealth Society, on Thursday 24th February. Speakers included Deryn Holland and Steve Sinnott.
